Veterans Day and Remembrance Day

This weekend, we will honor all those who wore the uniform and served to protect our nation and its allies. The ongoing dedication and sacrifices of our military service members and their families – past and present – are appreciated on this Veterans Day and every day.

More than 9,000 teammates at Leidos — nearly 20% of our team — are military Veterans or spouses. Since the beginning of the year, we have hired more than 1,900 Veterans as part of Operation MVP, our companywide program to hire, train, and support Veterans in the workforce. The expertise and leadership our Veteran colleagues bring to our company and our customers are critical to strengthening our national and global security, supporting our intelligence community, advancing our critical infrastructure, and fostering healthier communities.

Also, as I am in Australia today, I note that our teammates in the UK and Australia also pause at this time of year to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice with Remembrance Day observances – akin to the US Memorial Day purpose. It is a timely reminder of those in our allied nations who also fell in service to their nation.

To those who honorably served or continue to serve our nation in uniform, thank you. It’s a privilege to work alongside you and help make our world a better place.
