Steve Hull on how Leidos leans on repeatability in its tech transformation work
In a recent episode of the WT 360 podcast, Steve Hull, president of the Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos, shared insights into the company’s strategic approach to addressing federal agencies' most pressing tech challenges. Hull highlighted the importance of repeatable solutions in digital transformation, which enable faster delivery and scalability across government missions. By leveraging proven solutions already implemented elsewhere, Leidos can address 80% of customer needs with minimal customization.
Hull noted, “What we’re really trying to say is we can go faster if we take something that’s already done, it’s been approved, it’s been authorized in an environment, and now go deploy that for another customer that has that same problem.”
Hull emphasized Leidos’ commitment to cybersecurity, cloud migration, and application modernization, key areas for enabling mission-critical outcomes. He explained how federal IT challenges have evolved, particularly the convergence of siloed mission and enterprise systems to unlock better data insights. He also discussed how automation and artificial intelligence are reshaping federal IT environments by enhancing efficiency without replacing the workforce.
Transitioning to modern technologies can be complex, but it doesn’t have to be.
