Leidos recognized as a Best Place to Work for disability inclusion

Disability Equality Index score of 100

Leidos has been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work for disability inclusion for the second year in a row by Disability:IN, a leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide. The company achieved a top score of 100 on the 2021 Disability Equality Index® (DEI), which recognizes employers for creating equitable and accessible opportunities for all potential employees.

“Leidos’ top rating on the 2021 Disability Equality Index is a testament to the inclusive culture we are building,” said Joanne Martin, Leidos’ Allies and Action for Accessibility and Abilities employee resources group executive sponsor. “We recognize that an inclusive culture – one that creates an environment where everyone can thrive – delivers significant business results and fosters a true sense of pride, inspiration, and belonging for our employees.”

The DEI is a prominent benchmarking tool that offers Fortune® 1,000 businesses and America’s top 200 revenue-grossing law firms an opportunity to self-report their disability inclusion policies and practices. It was developed by two national leaders: the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN. The list is compiled in consultation with a diverse group of experts in business, policy and disability advocacy.

"We are so pleased to partner with 319 companies this year on the Disability Equality Index,” said Jill Houghton, President & Chief Executive Officer, Disability:IN. “Part of corporate commitment to disability inclusion is recognizing your stance and using it as an 'aha moment' to drive the business investments needed to scale change.”

Leidos is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all employees can bring their whole selves to work. In addition to Leidos’ policies and programs, the company offers an employee resource group (ERG) called Allies and Action for Accessibility and Abilities (A4). A4 empowers employees with disabilities to raise awareness and educate, form allies, and advocate across the business and beyond.
