Leidos EVP Elected to Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine
Chief Corporate Operations Officer Vicki Schmanske Recognized for Industry Expertise and Contributions to Virginia Enterprise
(RESTON, Va.) October 19, 2023 – Leidos (NYSE:LDOS), a FORTUNE® 500 science and technology leader, announced Chief Corporate Operations Officer Vicki Schmanske was elected to the Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine (VASEM). The academy recognized Schmanske as one of its new 2023 members at their annual summit in Richmond on October 10.

Schmanske is an accomplished executive who, throughout her 40-year career, successfully held roles of increasing responsibility across intelligence, defense, civil and health markets. This experience includes systems engineering, software and information systems development, program management, and enterprise IT services. She currently serves as the Leidos Chief Corporate Operations Officer where she oversees operational performance and strategic functional initiatives across the enterprise, including those for program execution and mission assurance, enterprise risk, corporate strategy, procurement, real estate, communications and marketing, and security.
VASEM was formed in 2013 with the support of U.S. Senator Mark Warner. It holds well-attended annual summits on issues of concern to every Virginian, from the future of transportation to preparedness for emerging disease and coastal resilience. It also produces a report for the General Assembly with a roadmap for expanding the state’s aerospace industry, a similar report on climate change in the Virginia coastal areas and a report that suggests key strategies where Virginia can take a leadership role in areas of critical national need.
