Leidos employees awarded for excellence at 2022 BEYA STEM Conference
Leidos is proud to recognize 21 of its employees for their excellence in science and technology at the 2022 Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) STEM Global Competitiveness Conference, which took place February 17-19 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Leidos has been a key sponsor and participant of BEYA since 2016. The conference attracts STEM professionals from diverse backgrounds and various career levels, including students. Conference participants network for job opportunities and develop mentor relationships, while companies like Leidos recruit top STEM talent.
“Leidos is proud of our BEYA honorees, who work to solve the world’s most complex and pressing challenges every day,” said Tashi Carper, Director of Global Inclusion & Diversity at Leidos. “These individuals represent the elite and most innovative talent in our diverse workforce that inspires the next generation to boldly pursue careers in STEM.”
During the conference, Leidos employee Monica Lee, a business technology solutions manager in the Civil Group, received the Rodney Adkins Legacy Award for Business Transformation. Lee was specifically honored for her role in successfully leading project teams that provide significant contributions to the company.
Additionally, Tallette Kitchen, Team Lead in the Health Group, and Antoinette Ward, Network Performance and Reliability Analyst in the Defense Group, were both recognized as Science Spectrum Trailblazers for their work to actively create new paths for others in science, research, and technology.
18 Leidos employees were also honored as BEYA Modern-Day Technology Leaders, which identifies exceptional professionals who help shape the future of STEM in their careers and communities.
