Leidos is one of the most admired companies in the world for the fifth straight year according to Fortune. Leidos ranks No. 5 in the information technology services category, climbing one spot from its 2020 ranking.

Why you should know: The list is based on criteria that measure not only business success, but also corporate citizenship and attractiveness to job seekers.

Methodology: Fortune ranked companies based on survey responses from roughly 3,800 corporate executives and analysts. Respondents were asked to rate their peers based on criteria ranging from product quality to social responsibility.

From the source: “The scoring system favors companies that excel at multiple facets of management,” according to the list’s publishers. “The bigger a company is, the more likely its peers and competitors are to avidly seek information about how and why it’s succeeding, and to keep that information at the top of their minds.”

Zooming out: This is the latest in a long line of high-profile recognitions for Leidos, which is also currently ranked as one of America’s most ethical companies, best employers, and best employers for Veterans.

Learn more: The complete listing is available on the Fortune website.
