Community Activities
UK Logistics
A key strand of the Leidos UK Logistics strategy is a commitment to community activities, by actively supporting local people and programmes.
Armed Forces Covenant
Leidos in Bristol have been working with 7 Military Intelligence and 39 Signal Regiment to recruit more reservists from the workforce and local community. Leidos received the Armed Forces Covenant Gold Award in 2019 and this work is part of our Covenant commitments.
Marie Curie
Leidos is supporting Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end of life charity in Bristol. Marie Curie provide frontline nursing and hospice care, a free support line and a wealth of information and support to those affected by cancer.
Incredible Kids
Incredible Kids is an inclusive play centre in Bristol where young people with additional needs can have fun and play alongside siblings. Leidos supports the Centre, providing funding to create a supportive environment for parent carers with the aim of reducing social isolation and promoting inclusion.
Humanitarian Bristol
Humanitarian Bristol was created in response to the COVID-19 crisis in March 2020. The purpose of Humanitarian Bristol is to provide a partnership based, holistically connected approach to support extremely vulnerable people. Vulnerability in this context could be socio-economic, cultural, age, or because of shielding or self-isolation due to a range of issues that conform to the local authority, government, and health guidelines. Service provision would include a supply of colourful food boxes, 1 -1 emotional/mental wellbeing support and signposting to relevant agencies for help.
Leidos is supporting the production of culturally appropriate and generic recipes in video format whereby vulnerable people would be able to create healthy and nutritious food using the items supplied by food banks.
