Culture at Leidos Australia

Live your best Leidos Life

Welcome to Leidos, where you are enabled to thrive within a friendly and inclusive culture.

Feel comfortable to be yourself, confident to grow your career and be valued for who you are. To make your time with us exceptional, ‘Leidos Life’ brings together your career development, wellbeing and flexibility options to help you live your best life with us. We believe that everyone deserves a great People Leader and we invest to make that a reality. Throughout your career journey, your People Leader will be there to support, engage and develop you in forging your own unique path. When it comes to your wellbeing, we'll support you to be mentally, financially and physically well at work and home. With a variety of flexibility options, you’ll be trusted to get things done in a way that works for you and your work.

Our values are what sets us apart

At Leidos, our culture is shaped by how we think, how we do things, how we speak up, how we share ideas and then how we help each other to bring those ideas to life. This is what makes Leidos different.

We live and breathe our values; commitment – to our customers and each other; integrity – to do what’s right; inclusion – so that everyone feels a sense of belonging; innovation – to build what doesn’t exist today; collaboration – to create better solutions together; and agility – to challenge, change and never sit still.

Together these values create a culture where talented people thrive and have fun doing it.

Our values

Feeling appreciated goes a long way

We value what you do and how you do it. It’s not unusual to receive a Kudos card from a colleague to thank you for helping them out, or receive a SPOT Award to treat yourself for a more significant ‘above and beyond’ moment. You might even receive recognition from one of our amazing customers. And because we’re so proud of culture, our LAVAs (Leidos Australia Value Awards) at year end recognise outstanding examples of colleagues who have truly lived our values.

Flexibility – where, when, and how you work

Because one size doesn’t fit all, our flex menu offers a range of options that you can tailor to your unique circumstances, so you can live your best Leidos Life. We call this Dynamic Working, where you can flex to find your balance, flex for life events and flex to give back.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

At Leidos, inclusion is about creating an environment where everyone feels welcome, valued, respected and supported. Each of us is unique and it’s our differences that are our greatest strength. We celebrate what is both common and different to create an environment where you belong. Everyone is welcome to join one or more of our advocacy groups; Women and Allies Network (WAAN), Young Professionals (YPAG), Defence & Emergency Services (DESG), and Allies and Action for Accessibility and Abilities (A4AU), get involved with Pride+, or a social cause that is important to you and who you are. Connection, collaboration and community thrive at Leidos.

Personal ways to give back

What do tending the Stephanie Alexander Garden at a local school, cooking meals at Ronald McDonald House and erecting fences for Blazeaid all have in common? They are all ways Leidos team members have used their annual volunteer days to support a cause that’s important to them. ‘Giving back’ has proven health benefits and we encourage our people to take advantage of Volunteer Days to donate time to a cause that’s important to you.

We’re a family-friendly workplace

As a certified Family Inclusive Workplace, we’re proud to have a culture that wholeheartedly respects and appreciates the caring responsibilities and needs of our people. Family Inclusivity isn’t just a policy, it’s a mindset that recognises the need to provide support for anyone who needs to care for their loved ones.
