I didn’t really know much about Leidos. Airborne Solutions
We conduct airborne surveillance and search-and-rescue (SAR) operations spanning Australia’s 8.2 million square kilometre ‘Exclusive Economic Zone’ and international SAR region. We do this utilising a fleet of highly modified aircraft. On board these aircraft, our mission aircrew operate a sovereign-developed mission management system integrating a range of sensors and communication systems to deliver operational outcomes in the national interest. When it comes to protecting our borders and saving lives, every mission matters.
Typical roles:
On any given day you could be assisting someone bogged in the middle of the desert, dropping communications equipment and food to an Indonesian fishing vessel or searching for a missing boat in the middle of the ocean. Every task is different.

Systems engineering
Our Systems Engineering team designs, integrates and manages complex systems to help our customers solve some of their most challenging problems. Our engineers develop a deep knowledge of our processes and tools through training and project work to help deliver complex systems within Defence and Federal Government environments. The work is interesting and you’ll gain experience across a broad range of technologies and customer requirements.
