Manufacturing Systems
Leidos helps companies meet the demands of the manufacturing environment by enabling agility and standardization as a fundamental aspect of business activities. Leidos' solutions bridge business systems with the plant floor for seamless management across an enterprise and connect people with technology to help them understand operations and respond faster. Most importantly, Leidos focuses on self-sufficient solutions. Our systems let customers make vast changes through configuration - not programming - reducing time and costs required to meet flexible manufacturing challenges.

Today’s manufacturers are faced with multiple – and sometimes conflicting – requirements in order to remain competitive. These include meeting regulatory requirements and customer needs, all while increasing throughput, quality, and ultimately, profit. While automation can solve these issues, it also introduces additional complexities to the manufacturing process.
Leidos’ Assembly Management System (AMS) fills the connectivity gap by integrating functions across the manufacturing process. As a software provider, system integrator, and service provider, we bring proven solutions and services, and guide manufacturers through the implementation to achieve their specific goals.

The primary function of an Andon system is to keep all the relevant parties informed of the status of manufacturing so they can make better and faster decisions, which in turn will improve plant efficiency, profit margins, and product quality. The better an Andon system is at accomplishing those goals, the better a factory can operate.
Leidos’ Broadcast is an Andon system with visual displays to provide immediate access to production data, enabling decision-makers – whether on the factory floor or in the business office – to make informed decisions in real time. Production alerts are routed instantly to the right personnel who have the authority to stop the production process and take the steps needed to fix problems. The Leidos Broadcast system can also escalate alerts in terms of seriousness, which it can diagnose based on collected data, and send them to different audiences.
